Air Cleaners Carbon Canisters Nearly 70% of C & M Mould Tools Ltd production is devoted to the UK and European automobile Industry, including Honda, Ford, Rover, Toyota, Nissan, Saab, GM and Jaguar. We are field leaders in the production of carbon canisters, and their associated components, due to the expertise we have gained over many years.
Our considerable expertise in the manufacture of these and the complex mould tools required for automotive air cleaner assemblies, ensures that they are produced on schedule, and to the high standard that our customers have become accustomed to. It is this experience which is resulting in a growing number of companies within the automotive sector working in close partnership with C & M towards the production of their moulds.

Filter Encapsulations Encapsulations C & M Mould Tools have, over a period of years, designed and manufactured injection mould tools to encapsulate various items, for a variety of industries. These include encapsulated wiring looms together with their associated electrical components and contacts. Many tools have been manufactured for both the domestic and automotive industries, that require a filter mesh to be moulded into the main component, most
notably filters for jug kettles and fuel filters. It is our experience within this field that ensures that the moulder receives a mould tool that has been designed in the most operator friendly way, so that the delays and problems normally associated with this style of tooling has been minimised.

Electrical Assembly
Large suites of tools do not represent a problem to
C & M Mould Tools. The advantages of sourcing all of the injection mould tools for a project with one toolmaker are many. One such benefit is that the CAD data for all mating parts can be interrogated as an assembly, and any dimensional discrepancies can be brought to the attention of the customer, and changes can be quickly effected with minimal disruption to the overall project timescales. Surface finishes can also be standardised, ensuring that the aesthetics of all the mouldings are identical.
Electrical Assembly
In-house project management software enables accurate workshop planning through all stages of every tool's manufacture. This ensures that the total project is not delayed by one or more component not being ready for moulding.

The economic benefits for single sourcing suites of components are not just in the saving of man hours, but with package pricing on large tooling projects a cost reduction will also be evident. After initial tooling trials, it is a much quicker process to effect minor size adjustments or modifications with one supplier, with adjustments being made in the most cost and time effective way without the usual apportioning of blame between several toolmakers.
