It seems false economy to make a basic aluminium mould and produce prototype mouldings without evaluating whether the component is suitable for production tooling, as that is always the ultimate aim. By utilising the production intent feed position, valuable lessons regarding distortion, ease of fill and gas traps can be learnt prior to hard tooling.
We also manufacture low volume production tooling (LVP) for components that need the quality feel and appearance of a production moulded part, but whose volumes cannot financially warrant the expense of conventional production tooling. By using quality tooling aluminium and a careful approach when moulding, many thousands of parts may be produced at a fraction of the cost of steel tooling.
By using our network of local moulders, initial samples or larger long term production runs can be easily and economically arranged.
